Hubs of transportation - city living

Image from MassHousing.com
Check out this recent Boston Herald article from March 2, 2012 that talks about the unmet need for convenient housing near transit. Besides having most of our 19th and early 20th century residential housing already located within easy walking distance to transit, Dorchester has a series of recently constructed or under-way transit-oriented projects, like The Carruth at Peabody Square next to Ashmont T station, and VietAID's new 1460 Dorchester Ave building in Fields Corner. All projects have a mix of affordability, and have added lots of new residents to the local scene.
