On Dorchester's shoreline, the Pope John Paul Park is another favorite, and running through it the Neponset Greenway is an added bonus to bike or walk the river. everyone in Dorchester and points beyond should come on over to the Dorchester Beach Festival at Malibu Beach on Saturday August 16. [and not just because I am helping to organize the thing.] you can ride your bike to the beach, take the T [Savin Hill stop] to the beach, and all the activities are free. like sailing. and swimming. and canoing. and biking. and eating ice cream.
