ADORE-chester! my 1st

[with apologies to Madeline Kahn...]

A is for the Avenue - Dot Ave. of course, four miles of historic toll road from the historic Lower Mills (America's first chocolate mill!) to the Polish Triangle and Southie's border. Biking it is a challenge but once you're used to it, any other Boston roadway seems a bit tame.

These people also ADORE-chester:

The Dottie Hottie
The Dot Matrix
Dot Boston
The Dorchester Think Tank
Lower Dot
Local Spice
Candelaria Silva
Social Butterfly Experiment

  1. I actually find Dot Ave a pretty relaxing place to bike. Sure there's a few honkers and sure it's the only place I've gotten hit by a car so far (a very minor tap that didn't even knock me off my bike), but it's flat, somewhat scenic and takes you through many different areas making for a nice ride around our hood.

  2. Dot Ave: pretty much straight as a rifle shot from Lower Mills to the exposed flank of downtown Bean Town. It's one of the best rides in Boston and a good place to get your 'pedaling legs' and test your brake pads. Right on, Dot Mass.

You are also Dot-on with D-O-R-E too. ADORE-chester! Today and everyday. Thanks.
