we like The Icecreamsmith: home-made, with good selection of mix-ins. just a mile down Dot Avenue from Peabody Square, in Lower Mills.

beach fun
has it been a whole month?! time flies when you are on vacation!
everyone in Dorchester and points beyond should come on over to the Dorchester Beach Festival at Malibu Beach on Saturday August 16. [and not just because I am helping to organize the thing.] you can ride your bike to the beach, take the T [Savin Hill stop] to the beach, and all the activities are free. like sailing. and swimming. and canoing. and biking. and eating ice cream.
