Granite Railway Quarry-to-Wharf tours

Explore the site of the first chartered commercial railroad in our nation. Weekend tours: Sat., Sept. 22 & Sun., Sept. 23, and Sat., Oct. 27 & Sun., Oct. 28. Visit the preserved 1826 railway terminus at Bunker Hill Ledge, plus surviving parts of the old right-of-way; quarries with spectacular views; the 1830 double-track incline; the Neponset River wharf; and other structures significant to the granite, iron and railroad industries in Quincy.
